The presenation “Edunomics 2012″ at Learning World 2008 in Berlin will be available here soon.
Update: Here it is (up to now only in German).
Some thoughts about a single of some possible scenarios have been expressed – I call it the “wikinomics boom” scenario. Some trend signals are shown, basic concepts of the “wiki principle” are reflected and a short watchlist is added. Presentation was held in Berlin, Ludwig-Erhard-Haus, 2008-06-19.
Edunomics – my definition is broad and not limited to electronically mediated learning: Edunomics is the complex economy of learning and teaching under the perspective of a market. In the future it has to be conceived as an integrated whole of approaches, life cycles and value chains. There is a growing demand for innovative forms of knowledge transfer from kindergarten to corporate universities
Questions for the e-learning and corporate learning folks:
- What if wikified edunomics means freeconomics? The professional provider has to compete with the crowdsourcing offers like italki.com or sclipo.com. Quality standards will be an strategic answer to the challenge of peer and gift economy. What else?
- Do we have to rethink our organisational models? Has the teacher role to be deconstructed, somehow flattened to a partner role?
